171
ﻭَﻣَﺜَﻞُ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻛَﻔَﺮُﻭْﺍ ﻛَﻤَﺜَﻞِ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﻳَﻨْﻌِﻖُ ﺑِﻤَﺎ
ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺴْﻤَﻊُ ﺍِﻟَّﺎ ﺩُﻋَﺎۤﺀً ﻭَّﻧِﺪَﺍۤﺀً ۗ ﺻُﻢٌّ ۢ ﺑُﻜْﻢٌ ﻋُﻤْﻲٌ
ﻓَﻬُﻢْ ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﻌْﻘِﻠُﻮْﻥَ
wa maṡalullażīna kafarụ kamaṡalillażī yan'iqu
bimā lā yasma'u illā du'ā`aw wa nidā`ā,
ṣummum bukmun 'umyun fa hum lā ya'qilụn
And the parable of the disbelievers is like that of
the one who cries out, which hears nothing but the
call and the cry. (They are) deaf, dumb and blind,
so they do not understand.
172
ﻳٰٓﺎَﻳُّﻬَﺎ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮْﺍ ﻛُﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻣِﻦْ ﻃَﻴِّﺒٰﺖِ ﻣَﺎ
ﺭَﺯَﻗْﻨٰﻜُﻢْ ﻭَﺍﺷْﻜُﺮُﻭْﺍ ﻟِﻠّٰﻪِ ﺍِﻥْ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺍِﻳَّﺎﻩُ
ﺗَﻌْﺒُﺪُﻭْﻥَ
yā ayyuhallażīna āmanụ kulụ min ṭayyibāti
mā razaqnākum wasykurụ lillāhi ing kuntum
iyyāhu ta'budụn
O you who believe! Eat of the good things which
We have provided for you, and be grateful to Allah,
if ye serve Him only.
173
ﺍِﻧَّﻤَﺎ ﺣَﺮَّﻡَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻴْﺘَﺔَ ﻭَﺍﻟﺪَّﻡَ ﻭَﻟَﺤْﻢَ
ﺍﻟْﺨِﻨْﺰِﻳْﺮِ ﻭَﻣَﺎٓ ﺍُﻫِﻞَّ ﺑِﻪٖ ﻟِﻐَﻴْﺮِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ۚ ﻓَﻤَﻦِ
ﺍﺿْﻄُﺮَّ ﻏَﻴْﺮَ ﺑَﺎﻍٍ ﻭَّﻟَﺎ ﻋَﺎﺩٍ ﻓَﻠَﺎٓ ﺍِﺛْﻢَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ۗ ﺍِﻥَّ
ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻏَﻔُﻮْﺭٌ ﺭَّﺣِﻴْﻢٌ
innamā ḥarrama 'alaikumul-maitata wad-
dama wa laḥmal-khinzīri wa mā uhilla bihī
ligairillāh, fa maniḍṭurra gaira bāgiw wa lā
'ādin fa lā iṡma 'alaīh, innallāha gafụrur raḥīm
He only forbids you carcasses, blood, pork, and
(meat) animals slaughtered by (mentioning the
name) other than Allah. But whoever is compelled
(to eat it), not because he wants it and does not
(also) exceed the limit, then there is no sin for him.
Indeed, Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
174
ﺍِﻥَّ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳَﻜْﺘُﻤُﻮْﻥَ ﻣَﺎٓ ﺍَﻧْﺰَﻝَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟْﻜِﺘٰﺐِ
ﻭَﻳَﺸْﺘَﺮُﻭْﻥَ ﺑِﻪٖ ﺛَﻤَﻨًﺎ ﻗَﻠِﻴْﻠًﺎۙ ﺍُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ ﻣَﺎ ﻳَﺄْﻛُﻠُﻮْﻥَ
ﻓِﻲْ ﺑُﻄُﻮْﻧِﻬِﻢْ ﺍِﻟَّﺎ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭَ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻳُﻜَﻠِّﻤُﻬُﻢُ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﻳَﻮْﻡَ
ﺍﻟْﻘِﻴٰﻤَﺔِ ﻭَﻟَﺎ ﻳُﺰَﻛِّﻴْﻬِﻢْ ۚﻭَﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﻋَﺬَﺍﺏٌ ﺍَﻟِﻴْﻢٌ
innallażīna yaktumụna mā anzalallāhu minal-
kitābi wa yasytarụna bihī ṡamanang qalīlan
ulā`ika mā ya`kulụna fī buṭụnihim illan-nāra
wa lā yukallimuhumullāhu yaumal-qiyāmati
wa lā yuzakkīhim, wa lahum 'ażābun alīm
Indeed, those who hide what Allah has sent down,
namely the Book, and sell it cheaply, they will only
swallow the fire of hell into their bellies, and Allah
will not greet them on the Day of Resurrection, nor
will they purify them. They will have a very painful
punishment.
175
ﺍُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍﺷْﺘَﺮَﻭُﺍ ﺍﻟﻀَّﻠٰﻠَﺔَ ﺑِﺎﻟْﻬُﺪٰﻯ
ﻭَﺍﻟْﻌَﺬَﺍﺏَ ﺑِﺎﻟْﻤَﻐْﻔِﺮَﺓِ ۚ ﻓَﻤَﺎٓ ﺍَﺻْﺒَﺮَﻫُﻢْ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭِ
ulā`ikallażīnasytarawuḍ-ḍalālata bil-hudā
wal-'ażāba bil-magfirah, fa mā aṣbarahum
'alan-nār
They are the ones who buy error with guidance and
punishment with forgiveness. How dare they
oppose the Fire!
176
ﺫٰﻟِﻚَ ﺑِﺎَﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻧَﺰَّﻝَ ﺍﻟْﻜِﺘٰﺐَ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺤَﻖِّ ۗ ﻭَﺍِﻥَّ
ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍﺧْﺘَﻠَﻔُﻮْﺍ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﻜِﺘٰﺐِ ﻟَﻔِﻲْ ﺷِﻘَﺎﻕٍۢ
ﺑَﻌِﻴْﺪٍ
żālika bi`annallāha nazzalal-kitāba bil-ḥaqq,
wa innallażīnakhtalafụ fil-kitābi lafī syiqāqim
ba'īd
That is because Allah has sent down the Book (Al-
Qur'an) with (bringing) the truth, and verily those
who disagree about (the truth) of the Book, they are
in distant divisions.
177
۞ ﻟَﻴْﺲَ ﺍﻟْﺒِﺮَّﺍَﻥْ ﺗُﻮَﻟُّﻮْﺍ ﻭُﺟُﻮْﻫَﻜُﻢْ ﻗِﺒَﻞَ
ﺍﻟْﻤَﺸْﺮِﻕِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻤَﻐْﺮِﺏِ ﻭَﻟٰﻜِﻦَّ ﺍﻟْﺒِﺮَّ ﻣَﻦْ ﺍٰﻣَﻦَ ﺑِﺎﻟﻠّٰﻪِ
ﻭَﺍﻟْﻴَﻮْﻡِ ﺍﻟْﺎٰﺧِﺮِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻤَﻠٰۤﻯِٕﻜَﺔِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻜِﺘٰﺐِ ﻭَﺍﻟﻨَّﺒِﻴّٖﻦَ ۚ
ﻭَﺍٰﺗَﻰ ﺍﻟْﻤَﺎﻝَ ﻋَﻠٰﻰ ﺣُﺒِّﻪٖ ﺫَﻭِﻯ ﺍﻟْﻘُﺮْﺑٰﻰ
ﻭَﺍﻟْﻴَﺘٰﻤٰﻰ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻤَﺴٰﻜِﻴْﻦَ ﻭَﺍﺑْﻦَ ﺍﻟﺴَّﺒِﻴْﻞِۙ
ﻭَﺍﻟﺴَّﺎۤﻯِٕﻠِﻴْﻦَ ﻭَﻓﻰِ ﺍﻟﺮِّﻗَﺎﺏِۚ ﻭَﺍَﻗَﺎﻡَ ﺍﻟﺼَّﻠٰﻮﺓَ
ﻭَﺍٰﺗَﻰ ﺍﻟﺰَّﻛٰﻮﺓَ ۚ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻤُﻮْﻓُﻮْﻥَ ﺑِﻌَﻬْﺪِﻫِﻢْ ﺍِﺫَﺍ
ﻋَﺎﻫَﺪُﻭْﺍ ۚ ﻭَﺍﻟﺼّٰﺒِﺮِﻳْﻦَ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺒَﺄْﺳَﺎۤﺀِ ﻭَﺍﻟﻀَّﺮَّﺍۤﺀِ
ﻭَﺣِﻴْﻦَ ﺍﻟْﺒَﺄْﺱِۗ ﺍُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ
ﺻَﺪَﻗُﻮْﺍ ۗﻭَﺍُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ ﻫُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺘَّﻘُﻮْﻥَ
laisal-birra an tuwallụ wujụhakum qibalal-
masyriqi wal-magribi wa lākinnal-birra man
āmana billāhi wal-yaumil-ākhiri wal-
malā`ikati wal-kitābi wan-nabiyyīn, wa ātal-
māla 'alā ḥubbihī żawil-qurbā wal-yatāmā
wal-masākīna wabnas-sabīli was-sā`ilīna wa
fir-riqāb, wa aqāmaṣ-ṣalāta wa ātaz-zakāh,
wal-mụfụna bi'ahdihim iżā 'āhadụ, waṣ-
ṣābirīna fil-ba`sā`i waḍ-ḍarrā`i wa ḥīnal-
ba`s, ulā`ikallażīna ṣadaqụ, wa ulā`ika
humul-muttaqụn
The virtue is not to turn your face to the east and
to the west, but the virtue is (the virtue) of the
person who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the
angels, the books, and the prophets and gives the
property he loves to relatives, orphans. , the poor,
those who are on a journey (travelers), beggars,
and to free my slaves, who perform prayers and
pay zakat, those who keep promises when they
promise, and those who are patient in poverty,
suffering and in times of war. Those are the
truthful, and they are the pious.
178
ﻳٰٓﺎَﻳُّﻬَﺎ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮْﺍ ﻛُﺘِﺐَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻘِﺼَﺎﺹُ
ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﻘَﺘْﻠٰﻰۗ ﺍَﻟْﺤُﺮُّ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺤُﺮِّ ﻭَﺍﻟْﻌَﺒْﺪُ ﺑِﺎﻟْﻌَﺒْﺪِ
ﻭَﺍﻟْﺎُﻧْﺜٰﻰ ﺑِﺎﻟْﺎُﻧْﺜٰﻰۗ ﻓَﻤَﻦْ ﻋُﻔِﻲَ ﻟَﻪٗ ﻣِﻦْ ﺍَﺧِﻴْﻪِ
ﺷَﻲْﺀٌ ﻓَﺎﺗِّﺒَﺎﻉٌ ۢﺑِﺎﻟْﻤَﻌْﺮُﻭْﻑِ ﻭَﺍَﺩَﺍۤﺀٌ ﺍِﻟَﻴْﻪِ
ﺑِﺎِﺣْﺴَﺎﻥٍ ۗ ﺫٰﻟِﻚَ ﺗَﺨْﻔِﻴْﻒٌ ﻣِّﻦْ ﺭَّﺑِّﻜُﻢْ
ﻭَﺭَﺣْﻤَﺔٌ ۗﻓَﻤَﻦِ ﺍﻋْﺘَﺪٰﻯ ﺑَﻌْﺪَ ﺫٰﻟِﻚَ ﻓَﻠَﻪٗ ﻋَﺬَﺍﺏٌ
ﺍَﻟِﻴْﻢٌ
yā ayyuhallażīna āmanụ kutiba 'alaikumul-
qiṣāṣu fil-qatlā, al-ḥurru bil-ḥurri wal-'abdu
bil-'abdi wal-unṡā bil-unṡā, fa man 'ufiya lahụ
min akhīhi syai`un fattibā'um bil-ma'rụfi wa
adā`un ilaihi bi`iḥsān, żālika takhfīfum mir
rabbikum wa raḥmah, fa mani'tadā ba'da
żālika fa lahụ 'ażābun alīm
O you who believe! It is obligatory upon you (to
perform) qisas with respect to those who are
killed. Free people with free people, slaves with
slaves, women with women. But whoever obtains
forgiveness from his brother, let him follow him
well, and pay diat (ransom) to him well (also). That
is a relief and a mercy from your Lord. Whoever
transgresses after that, then he will have a very
painful punishment.
179
ﻭَﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﻘِﺼَﺎﺹِ ﺣَﻴٰﻮﺓٌ ﻳّٰٓﺎُﻭﻟِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺎَﻟْﺒَﺎﺏِ
ﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻜُﻢْ ﺗَﺘَّﻘُﻮْﻥَ
wa lakum fil-qiṣāṣi ḥayātuy yā ulil-albābi
la'allakum tattaqụn
And in qisas there is a (guarantee) of life for you, O
people of understanding, so that you may become
pious.
180
ﻛُﺘِﺐَ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﺍِﺫَﺍ ﺣَﻀَﺮَ ﺍَﺣَﺪَﻛُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﻤَﻮْﺕُ ﺍِﻥْ
ﺗَﺮَﻙَ ﺧَﻴْﺮًﺍ ۖ ۨﺍﻟْﻮَﺻِﻴَّﺔُ ﻟِﻠْﻮَﺍﻟِﺪَﻳْﻦِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺎَﻗْﺮَﺑِﻴْﻦَ
ﺑِﺎﻟْﻤَﻌْﺮُﻭْﻑِۚ ﺣَﻘًّﺎ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟْﻤُﺘَّﻘِﻴْﻦَ ۗ
kutiba 'alaikum iżā ḥaḍara aḥadakumul-mautu
in taraka khairanil-waṣiyyatu lil-wālidaini
wal-aqrabīna bil-ma'rụf, ḥaqqan 'alal-
muttaqīn
It is obligatory upon you, when death intends to
pick up one of you, if he leaves property, to
bequeath to both parents and close relatives in a
good manner, (as) an obligation for the pious.
